SSC7 OVERVIEW
This course has been designed to provide delegates with an Overview of SSC7 signalling. The course begins by introducing the digital signalling format used to transport the digitised voice within the network and how the SSC7 signalling is transported, this includes an explanation of Channel Associated Signalling and Common Channel Signalling.
The course then continues to discuss the SSC7 signalling in detail using the C7 model to introduce each part.
Prerequisites
A technical understanding of a Public Telephone Network

At the end of this class, participants will be able to:
- Understand how the signalling is transported in a Public Telephone Network.
- Under stand the difference between Common Channel Signalling and Channel Associated Signalling.
- Understand the Message Transport Protocol (MTP) and the protocols used in each of the Layers 1,2 & 3.
- Understand the difference between each of the User Parts, TUP, ISUP, ETC..
- Understand the use of the SCCP and TCAP protocols.
- Understand the different Application Parts, MAP, INAP, ETC.
